Products

I’m not sure if a lot of women have this problem or if I’m just one of few, but I am such a product whore! If there is some new lotion, perfume, makeup, skincare, wrinkle reducer, or whatever that comes out I seem to have to try it. Don’t get me wrong, being this way has led me to some really great products, but the majority of the time it seems I spend way too much money for stuff that just doesn’t live up to the advertising, or a comparable version could be found for much less money. I’m not sure why I get so sucked in, but I so do. But seriously, do I really need to have 3 different body washes in my shower at once? Can’t I just finish one before being sucked in by the commercial for a “new and better” one? Oh and lipstick or lip gloss, how many of them in pink do I really need? Or the lip plumping ones, just how many of those do I really need? I could go on and on, but I think you probably get the picture.

I think I’ve even realized it’s gotten out of hand now. The biggest thing that lead me to that conclusion? No room in my bathroom drawers or my under sink cabinet. Seriously. I have to open the door and close it real quick because I don’t want something to fall out! The even sadder thing? I just went through and threw a bunch of stuff away about 5 months ago!

How did I get this way? I’m not sure. I remember when I was growing up I was always into all of that stuff but my family didn’t have money for too much extra. Maybe I do it now because I can. Not sure. I just know that I need to get it under control. I’d much rather have that money for a vacation to Greece than some lotion that I’ll only use a couple of times and throw away!

Ok, I’m pathetic. As I’m writing this I’m checking e-mail and had a Sephora add so of course I had to go check it out. I was actually contemplating ordering a couple of things!!!!!! Gaaaahhhhh!! Save me from myself! ;)

Do any of you do this? Or am I the only sucker in this crowd?
